New Course in Encaustic Sculpture Deborah will also teach another new encaustic course, Encaustic Sculpture. In this course, students will practice applying and heating encaustic on a simple sculptural form made of wire and plaster bandage.
Exciting Opportunity “Working with encaustic has transformed my art-making process and opened wide the doors of my creativity. I am excited about the opportunity to share what I’ve learned about using this incredible material by teaching at Bellevue College Continuing Ed,” said Deborah, who will be a key instructor in our new Encaustic Art Certificate Program launching in 2014.
Incorporate Found Objects In addition to her encaustic courses, Deborah will also teach another new course: Found Object & Assemblage. In this course, students will investigate how to work with found objects in 2D and 3D formats and learn how to incorporate mixed media to make coherent art works.
